Essentially, it is a second pair of hands that provides better grip and accurate cuts. Fastened to the tabletop or fence a featherboard ensures that the wood is safely and effectively hold and fed into the machine. It also prevents the wood for being pushed back towards de user.
I could not find a featherboard for my Scheppach HS100S which is a simple DIY table saw for hobbyists and enthusiasts so I designed my own. Keep in mind that the design could be better but I provide it as it is (no guarantee of any kind). Feel free to modify it as you wish.
The featherboard is a perfect 20cm square. It should fit in most 3D printers as it is. You could check it in the .pdf file provided below (technical data).
The featherboard is an assembly of two different parts:
A few bolts, nuts and washers are needed to full assembly the featherboard. This are commonly used bolts and nuts. You should not have any trouble finding them in your local hardware store.
| COMPONENT | Q | NOTES |
| M6 washer | 2 | ISO 7093 |
