The model is made of multiple parts so it can be printed from different color filaments.

The main body of the emblem is a single piece to give it more rigidity. It also includes a groove at the back side of the dagger's handle to mount it on a wall. I printed this part from Gold Silk PLA. It shines nicely.

The map is the only multicolored part where a filament change is required. The continents are raised by 1 mm. Thats where you need to change the filament from black to red. Optionally, you can just paint the continents. The map fits into the inner ring and the ring snaps into the main body.

The rest of the pieces snap into the main body with some force. I didn't need to glue them. The easiest way to insert those pieces is to have the pointy ends inserted into their slot first and force the other end to slide down on the circular wall until they sit flat. I needed the help of a hammer and a plastic wedge to make them snap into place. Make sure to use some buffer between the hammer and the parts to not scratch/break them.

The only part I recommend to secure with glue are the silver dagger piece and the little red notch under it. Gluing the dagger piece into place also stops the model from flexing there.

There is space to put a light source behind the map. It shines through the ring around the globe and it looks really cool with red light.

Long live the empire!
