I have the old style u-clamp bearing holders on the y-axis, and the first layers were too thick causing the u-clamp to rub the protector. So used the Prusa Slicer cutting tool to get only 2 flat layers and used a layer height of 0.15mm (0.2mm first layer and 0.15mm thereafter). So flat layer thickness is only 0.35mm. Also cut down the height of the 'T' (overall height only 3mm). Otherwise there was interference with the y-rod. It doesn't have to be deep as just lays in place, so a 3mm height allowed for easy insertion. Seems to work fine now. The back rail protectors worked as is so no need to change anything....
