MK3 Filament Guide

To increase grip, I have made a clamp for your filament guide. A freecad file is stored with my files for a "Fun! - X-axis indicator gear wheel/knob", under MK3S upgrades. I will erase the file once you have picked it up. The clamp requires 4.3 - 4.5mm diameter holes in your side walls, at 12.3mm in from the back surface. The cones on the clamp are at 12.2. When the hole positioning is correct, your guide grips the Prusa part quite well. Feel free to make whatever changes you think will make it even better. (edited)

Please post your clip-on tightener as it will encourage people to make your part rather than print an entirely new guide and toss previous prints of this guide into a landfill. I like your clip-on tightener rather than wasting plastic.

It is your very nice design, it just seems a little wiggly on the Prusa bracket because the side walls are thin (as needed). I would rather not remix just to add a another component. I was hoping you would give it a try and decide. (edited)

Interesting add-on. I haven't had any issues with the guide falling off. But I do have something zip-tied to the back of my spool holder that might be helping me. (It's the "outside" temperature sensor for an indoor/outdoor thermometer. I have it there to measure the heat in the column of warm air coming up from my heat bed.) Feel free to put up your remix on here. The original guide that I remixed is CC-BY licensed to encourage remixing.
