The Safety doorstop prevents the door from slamming abruptly by gently cushioning it.
This can, for example, prevent small children's fingers from being crushed when the door closes due to a gust of wind.
This also prevents glass breakage on doors that have thin glass panels.
In addition, this always leaves the door ajar so that your cat \ud83d\ude3a can always get in \ud83d\ude09.

If installation from below is possible, the door stop holds the door in position and functions like a normal door stop.

You can attach figures like this cute little mouse via a clip and add your own touch to the doorstop.

This is an improved design of the old Safety Door Stopper / Bumper V1 (2019 Design).

Size XS-2: is intended for thin glass doors with a thickness of 8mm or more. Although the surface of glass doors is very slippery, tests have shown that foam rubber is not needed as an anti-slip measure. If so, more details in the Application Tips section.

Adaptability to different door widths

To simulate the maximum recommended clamping size on a door, I attached the door stop Size L-2 to a 37.5 mm (1.476 inch) thick door and also placed a 11 mm (0.43 inch) thick stack of paper in between, as shown in the image below. The red and yellow paper stacks are each 5 mm (0.2 inch) thick and the yellow one is 1 mm (0.04 inch) thick.

Adaptability to different floor gaps

Here is an example of mounting from below to hold the door in position. The adaptability clearly has its limits here. If the gap fits, then the application is possible, if not, then not. The model has not been designed primarily for mounting from below. It should rather be seen as an option.

Choose the size according to the fit to your door frame profile

There are many different types of door frame constructions. The surface on the frame that the doorstop hits should be as vertical as possible.

Let's take a look at a special curved door frame profile.
A size xx-1 (e.g. XL-1) might fit better here than size xx-2 (e.g. XL-2), because it is lower.
The size xx-2 would hit the curved, sloping surface further up and push the doorstop down a little. If repeated frequently, this could lead to damage to the surface of the door frame, but it doesn't necessarily have to.

** It is important that the slicer does not generate infill, but only perimeters - with an extrusion width of 0.45 mm, I had 6 perimeters and for xx-xB models 8. To be on the safe side, I recommend simply entering a much higher number as the perimeter number in the slicer, e.g. 10.

Application tips

You can use self-adhesive foam rubber or another rubber band:

to prevent slipping on very smooth door surfaces
to additionally protect the surface of the door
if your door is thinner than the specified minimum width, for example 37.5 mm (1.476 inches) for size L-1 and L-2

For example, thin foam rubber - with a thickness of 2.5 mm (0.1 inch) - with a one-sided adhesive layer is suitable.

To calculate the appropriate foam rubber thickness, a 2.5 mm (0.1 inch) thick foam rubber (as shown in the picture) is compressed to approximately 2 mm (0.08 inch).

Festures

You can attach the clip to the doorstop very easily and without tools.
The clip has a pin to which you can attach a figurine, for example.
The type A pin has a diameter of 6 mm and a length of 15 mm.

To be able to attach a figure, only a simple round hole needs to be added, with a diameter of 6.2 mm to 6.3 mm (depending on printing precision) and a depth of 16 mm. You can also do this very easily in the slicer. In PrusaSlicer, add a cylinder as a negative volume to the model.

Here I have attached the figure of a little mouse.
