@da_mkay PP is great for this application. It's inert to IPA, has excellent layer adhesion and is relatively flexible. Those things combined make it so the shaft is more or less unbreakable as it can easily bend all the way to the walls of the container and go back with zero stress.

The fact that it's somewhat flexible is likely what makes the seal without rubber as well.

If you do try it, I highly recommend getting some PP glue for the print bed as PP pretty much only sticks to PP. A cheap alternative is clear packaging tape - just line the bed with it and off you go.
