Buddy 3D camera mount for MK4S

I want to replace the giant arm that attaches to the side of the X-axis and holds a Raspberry Pi camera. This is a nice simple model that does the same thing.

I did notice however that a bearing on the y-axis hits this like you mentioned in the comments. Also that you are working on a design to modify that.

If I could make a suggestion, perhaps using what you have here and adding a t-nut so this part attaches to the middle of the rails instead of around it to not interfere with anything.

I might try that out in a remix of this model here and see how it does but my CAD skills leave a lot to be desired.

Still a great prototyping design that will help you move forward with it for different iterations in the future if you choose to do so.

Thanks!

@29e1e4_133614 Sweet. I will take a look when I get home and see how it will work.

@ShaneTalksTech Hi ShaneTalksTech, I just wanted you to know that I just published a new version ( https://www.printables.com/model/1220363-3030-extrusion-holder-for-mk4s-for-buddy3d-camera) that may also help you with your Raspberry Pi camera - I designed the zip-tie extension with your situation in mind, maybe it helps :)

Hi ShaneTalksTech - Thanks for the info, I am currently working on a new model to improve this - exactly the way you mentioned. I will keep you updated as soon as I finish designing it.
