A TUSH style top mounted roller filament holder.

Two sides for double 1kg spools or extra large 2kg+ rolls if you put it in the middle, across all 4 rollers. I've seen it used with 5kg spools.

Having a sturdy base for the heavy spool to roll on prevents any movement or torsion on the frame of the printer. Instead of the spool rocking back and forth as it's swinging from the center, this system keeps the center of gravity in one position at all times.

The rollers have supports to the build plate. To easily remove the supports give them a strong twist then pull them straight off. The rollers also have two color changes to change up the color of the center section.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1: Assemble the bearings onto the rollers and use the small hardware c-clips to hold them in place. No superglue is required.

Step 2: Assemble the 4 hardware rings into each side of the Middle Rail. When assembled it will form a little cup to carry the roller bearing. These spin in like a c-clip to form the bearing seat. A drop of glue in the seat before you place the ring is useful but not mandatory. Make sure the ring is aligned so that the roller bearing can slide freely in and out.

Step 3: Place the Middle Rail in the center of the printer frame.

Step 4: Use a roller in the front slot to set the distance for the outside Rail, then repeat the other side. You'll find that the left and right rails are almost all the way to the outside of the frame. Shift everything slightly until all 3 rails are centered and happily in place.

Step 5: Drop in the back two rollers.

Step 6: Clip on the two filament guides.

Step 7: Return to printables.com and share a picture of your spool holder to earn some Prusameter points.
