This is a new designed spool holder for my PRUSA MK3S+.
When using the original reel holder, the filament is scraping noisy on the inner edges of the spool, depending on its positon and movement of the x-axis.
The spool swings as well forward and backward while the printhead moves and/or the extruder retracts.

My new design has a very small amount of friction so that the reel does not swing during operation. Due to the optimized position of the reel to the extruder inlet, the spool is unwound very clean. See picture.

The overall height (with spool mounted) is approx. 2 mm less compared to the original holder.

It fits tight to the frame while mounting but afterwards you can slide it easily to the left and right.
Please use a spatula (or similar) to help the bottom edge coming around the frame (like a shoehorn)

This works as well in case of removing the device\u2026.

I added the .step file in case of modifications are required.

Update 21.05.2021

Due to the several comments I added a second .stl file \u201cRollenhalter_hex05\u201d.
This is slightly modified at the bottom edge and should come more easy around the corner of the frame.
