Update 20240229: v6 is a significant rework, and I'm not actually certain I like it\u2026but it does fix some issues with v2 and my prior use of mirroring bodies. Turns out that mirroring a body\u2026.mirrors it. So some elements of a body may no longer be where you expect or want them to be. Now at least we have a proper grid, even if each configuration is managed via the incredibly high tech \u201cjust don't show bodies we don't want\u201d toggle.

There are certainly ways you can break the model, but it does now attempt to account for things like \u201cI gave you a smaller total width than the basic grid itself, and now math doesn't work\u201d errors.

But we do now have Corner and Edge pieces. Be careful on your math, and may you create giant full drawer perfect fitting trays, and not have to spend $3,000 on tiny magnets just to hold things in place.

Update 20240208: This is a bit experimental, but there are 3 versions at the moment, and they're pretty kludgy. None of these work reliably at less than a 3x3 grid. If you need smaller than 3x3: A) why? B) Use a prefab model, this will fail you and make both of us sad.

CFR Lite no edge connectors - this is just the base CFR plate, no ability to join it to other base plates. This is likely going to be the starting point of a future model with built in edges for precise fits made to measure.

CFR Lite with edge connectors - this is what I should have done the first time. Edge connectors on all 4 edges, just as the original plates have.

Parametric CFR Lite v2 - Houses both of the above models and makes use of Fusion's new Configurations. You can toggle between with or without connectors as you desire. Appears to work okay, but it's my first foray into configurations, so no promises. But please let me know if it fails in any way for you. This also has an optional configuration to print a surround so that you can get a perfect match to a space you're trying to fill. If you select the \u201cWith Surround\u201d configuration, the \u201cTotal Width\u201d and \u201cTotal Height\u201d parameters will be used to center the grid within the specified measurements.

I think the surround option may need some future tweaks to allow folks to do things like filling a space that's significantly larger than their print bed. Hopefully anyone who wants to do that now can edit the base features once they're in place, but if there's enough interest I might try and make it a bit more friendly.

@FPVSmitty_371200 Keeps doing all the hard work, and here I am just poking at Fusion and telling it to make copies of things.

Given a height and width it will make the baseplate of your dreams. Fusion lacks the ability to join repeated bodies, so the best we can do is export all touching bodies as a single STL file, where our slicers won't be able to tell the difference.
