@shoelesshisto_427318 Hi, which extension springs did you use? I used some 0.65*7*38mm ones and they feel too strong and the printed gears shredded.
@shoelesshisto_427318 Nice colours :3
@shoelesshisto_427318 what kind of fps are you getting with this set up?
@shoelesshisto_427318 Looks great! What fire rate are you getting with the honeybadger?
This is an incredibly awesome blaster. I had the pleasure (terror?) of being shot at with two of these before official release, and just had to build one.
The build is EASY. It's not for new Nerfers lots of moving parts, lots to manage- but it's not difficult. You just screw the pieces to where they need to be. No fiddling about. The lock parts aren't super tiny, they're all manageable.
The tuning is the hard part (and not even "difficult", just requires trial and error). You'll need a variety of springs to try. Recommend getting several gearboxes (I got 6 for $10 off Amazon) because you probably will strip at least one during the tuning process. Some helpful tips:
Pawl spring can be quite weak. Belt retainer spring should be on the weaker side of "firm". More weaker springs on the cam are better than one strong spring. Narrowish and long extension springs for your bolt and pusher. Lube the cam/belt puller mechanism with a thicker grease, thin oils will dry up and you'll have a bad day.
Also, print a LOT of links.
Shorty front end for mine, I'm running Daybreaks on Krakens with a Honey Badger pusher. (edited)
