…and there we go, a two color badge in my 4 card work badge holder.
@Savage - just for convenience, here is a link to the badge holder used in the final project:

I chose that one over the one used in the prototype because it has a cutout where the support goes. This made post print cleanup much easier as well as eliminated the step of adding a pla interface layer between the support and the petg model.
I’m actually going to print up another card for use in my work badge lanyard. I’ll upload a photo once completed.
@GeorgeBobeck_1899617 That is pretty cool! I've had enough ID card holders fail on my that I can totally appreciate the 'over-engineering' of the project! I think the mottled look from the textured sheet also looks awesome on it.
@Savage - The project was mostly a case of combining pieces from this site. I might release a print file as a convenience.
Test pieces, the pic with black badge holder and red card, were printed in PLA on a textured bed. The red side of the ID and the back side of the ID are textured. Badge is secured with velcro.
The final version is printed in PETG. I chose the hi-vis neon green for the back side of the card so it is visible.
For the curious: “why the over engineered 2 part kit with Velcro instead of a 1 part card with a hole and using CA glue to attach the badge?”
Simple: durability. I’ve had too many hole punched ID cards in the past break. Also, having it as a 2 part model means the badge can be moved to a new holder easily.

Thank you so much for your post and make.
I often find the need for good template models that are useful for remixes (e.g. If I am making lanyard holders....how do you know it fits the "real thing"?). I am glad that this model served you well.
Your lanyard adapter project sounds interesting! If you do end up sharing it please let me know and I'll check it out!
Prints perfectly! Thank you for these models!
I used the ID-1 model in order to create 2 color cards as part of a pin based name tag to lanyard adapter project. The side for the name tag is black, while the backside was printed in neon green on the textured side of my build plate.
