This is a bat/racket for playing table tennis (pingpong). Dimensions are accurate.

Print Instructions:

If you do not want to use the pre-modified PrusaSlicer files, you can set the settings yourself:

If you have some TPU or similar handy - Option 1:

Print settings for bat:

Set default Layerheight to 0.3mm in you printing profile
disable top & bottom layers (value=0)
Set default Infill to 30% Cubic (gives enough rigidity and saves filament+weight)
Use height modifier for the following highlighted settings:
1. 0.00-0.40mm \u2192 0.2mm Layerheight & 60% Infill \u2192 Print in TPU
2. Add a colorchange at 0.70mm to switch from TPU to PETG after the first two layers
3. 0.40-1.00mm \u2192 0.3mm Layerheight & 100% Infill \u2192 Print in PETG from here
4. From here the printer will print with the 0.30mm layerheight and 30% infill as you set as default earlier
5. 5.80-6.40mm \u2192 0.3mm Layerheight & 100% Infill
6. Add a colorchange at 6.60mm to switch back to TPU
7. 6.40-6.80mm \u2192 0.2mm Layerheight & 60% Infill \u2192 Print in TPU

Printing the top and bottom in TPU with a 60% infill gives a nice rubberlike surface. Feels pretty much like a normal table tennis bat. Since PETG and TPU are sticking very well together and they have the same temperature range they are a perfect match. Setting the default layerheight to 0.30mm reduces the overall printing speed which then works perfectly with hard TPU. However: If you want to print with something softer you might want to add slower speed settings to the heights of 0.00-0.40mm & 6.40-6.80mm in your height modifiers.

Print setting for handle:

Layerheight of 0.30mm and 20% rectilinear infill works great
Print with TPU \u2192 do not extrude faster than 80mm/s (the default prusa 0.30mm DRAFT setting works great with hard TPU)
1. If you do not have TPU available you can also print the handle with PETG!
Enable fuzzy skin: Outside Walls; thickness 0.2mm; point distance 0.4mm
Add a cubic modifier to the model with the following specs:
1. Size: X=26.25; Y=8.55; Z=35.38 mm
2. Position: X=-0.33; Y=-0.3; Z=33.4 mm
3. Add Fuzzy Skin Setting to modifier \u2192 Disable Fuzzy Skin

This way your handle will feel awesome on the outside but will not have fuzzy skin on the inside where we need accurate dimensions so the handle slides smoothely onto the bat. If you choose to print the handle this way, you might just want to use the Prusaslicer file and adjust the filament setting to your needs.

I highly recommend using some little amount of superglue when you attach the handle to the bat just to avoid the bat-part flying straight into the face of your opponent as you try to hit the ball damn hard.

If no TPU or similar is available - Option 2:

Print bat with 2 solid top & bottom layers.
Print handle as described above in Option 1
Get some thin rubber or something similar, slice it to the right size and glue it onto the paddle - just like a normal table tennis bat. If you do not have any rubber you can still play, but it will be quite hard to give the ball some spin since PETG is not very tacky.
