After nearly 1,000 hours of collective playtime between BotW and TotK, few occurrences in either game provide me with joy more consistently than discovering a star fragment. I would estimate my total number of star fragments discovered is in the triple digits, but I\u2019m still excited every time I spot one falling from the sky.

As part of my ongoing mission to bring my favorite items from the Kingdom of Hyrule into the real world, I\u2019ve designed a star fragment lamp that will look great on any table, desk, or shelf.

The lamp prints in 15 unique pieces, and requires 21 identical connectors for assembly.
I printed the 15 main pieces with 100% infill, at 0.3 mm layer height using a 0.6 mm nozzle, although thinner layers may do a better job diffusing the light source. I highly recommend printing this model with PETG, PLA could potentially warp if the lightbulb in the lamp gets too hot. I would also strongly suggest using an LED bulb in the lamp to keep it from getting too hot.

The assembly process for the lamp is fairly easy, even without the aid of traditional assembly instructions. All of the parts are numbered, in order to make the assembly process easier, keep track of the parts by writing their number on a piece of masking tape and sticking it to the part. When you\u2019re ready to assemble your lamp, use this link to see how the pieces fit together using a live 3D model. Just click on the \u201cmodel browser\u201d button at the bottom of your screen to open up a browser where you can toggle the visibility of all the individual lamp pieces. Not only does this make the lamp super easy to assemble, it\u2019s also a great way to identify your pieces if you\u2019ve lost track of them at any point. Now just assemble the pieces in numerical order, adding a connector piece whenever you line up two notches in order to hold the pieces together. The final piece, 15, simply snaps in and out of place without the use of any connectors, making it easy to change bulbs.

Now that your lamp is printed and assembled, all that\u2019s left is to put a lightbulb in it. As easy as this process was, I am absolutely clueless when it comes to electrical work, so I can\u2018t in good conscience give anybody instructions on how to do this. If you\u2019re as clueless as me when it comes to electricity, I strongly suggest watching some tutorials made by professionals in order to wire this lamp, or enlist your most electrically inclined friend to help you with this process. If I was able to do it, anybody can, but ideally under the watchful guidance of someone smarter than me!

I can, however, tell you the supplies I used to light up my lamp. I used this hanging lantern cord. Piece 15 was actually specifically designed with this cord in mind, so it's really the best option. It was super easy to disassemble and reassemble as well!
