MK4 Bi-Directional Fan Duct - Lightweight and Effective

AWESOME WORK!!!

At first I gave it 4 stars, just because the original version 2.2 had issues with ASA warping due to the fan draft.

No hard feelings, neither of your two fan shrouds are optimal because they add noise to the fan, and don't prevent the lower draft either. I prefer this version https://www.printables.com/model/566871-mk4-hotend-fan-shield-eliminates-turbulence-drafts - so I modded your fan duct by removing the vertical wall so it could fit my preferred fan shroud.

Everything printed in polycarbonate (PC) and now works great! I have also tested the airflow with a bowl of water underneath the print head and the air focus is pretty much in dead center! It makes a huge difference over the stock duct. Great work!

Please include a version without the vertical wall, for those who prefer the shroud that I linked, because I don't want to hijack your project just because of that. :) (edited)

@KyleTW_593847 Yes! Just noticed after my comment, thank you ! <3

@Manuel_930491 I've already added a model without the alignment wall. Check the current version folder and it should be there.

Hi @jonnieZG,

thanks for the info and thanks @KyleTW_593847 for updating the Model! Just started printing the Part.

@jonnieZG Thanks for the information! I'm glad it has worked well for you.

I originally used the alignment wall due to alignment issues early on. However, it looks like those issues are due to a change in the dimensions of the X carriage on early Mk4's and not due to any particular slop in the different machines. I've added a version without the wall and will be moving away from it entirely with the next iteration.
