This flash contest is about 3D printed molds & forms for casting, a technique that’s been around for ages. You pour or press a material into a form, let it harden, and then remove the finished piece. Voila!
For this contest, you can design molds and forms for concrete (planters, coasters, simple tiles), candles and wax, soap, plaster, or other castable materials. You can also submit a mold master: a printed “positive” that’s meant to be used to create a silicone mold.
…and don’t forget to test it! Entries with the best chance to win are the ones that show it actually works. :)
