Greetings everyone. So, I have started to work on this extremely nice Shuttle from the Avatar movies. The Valkyrie Shuttle. After some work, the Base Model is finaly done. The model will be some 60cm long.
I know, It is quite a lot, but it has to be that big because it also has several features.
It will have openable Roof Door so that it could serve as a normal Shuttle. It was not said or shown in the movies, but I assume it also has Radiators in the Roof doors just like the real Shuttle so It really makes sense to have them and to have them open for prolonged time spent in space.
Another Feature are the two main engines which are movable and could be switched to Vacuum version and Air-breathing version
Next on our list of features are ofcourse the VTOL engines. As you know, Valkyrie has 4 VTOL engines that can rotate to give the ship VTOL capabilities.
Of course, the shuttle also has to land. And for that, it comes with retractable landing gear.
And last, but not least, when landed, it has to uload its cargo so the Back Doors could be open as well
And that is it. As I said, the Base model is done, so now, I will cut it into printable pieces and then start with the printing process. BTW I also play with an idea to make some kind of cargo. And I also plan to make a stand in case you would like to display it in fight.
