With Bondtech's INDX coming to the Prusa CORE One, multi-nozzle printing is becoming the new standard. But more colours mean more spools... and more chaos on your desk.
Introducing INBXX: The ultimate, fully configurable filament management system designed to organise your workspace, while looking sleek and keeping your materials in optimal condition!
INBXX isn't just a spool holder; it's a complete cabinet solution that saves precious desk space, protects your filament in an enclosed environment, and is ready for active heating/drying. Whether you are running a classic MMU3 or preparing for a 10-spool INDX setup, INBXX adapts to YOU.

Every 3D printing space is different; some have a single machine, some an entire printfarm.. The one goes for the new INDX multi-material system, while the second chooses the MMU3. Or maybe somebody just searches fora clean way to store their filaments!
For every case, INBXX is made to tailor to you!
In total, more than 250+ configurations are possible. All with only 4 hardware kits, the rest is done by choosing which arts to print, or by installing a part in a different orientation, let me walk you through it;
Firstly, you can choose how many spools your INBXX will support. The single-story version has room for 2-5 spools, while the double-story version can support 4-10 spools!

My recommendation;
With INDX;
- Up to 4 spools → go for Single Story Version
- 5 or more spools → go for Double-Story Version
With MMU3;
- General advice for MMU3 users is to still use the COREBOXX found here. This product is used by 800+ users already and is a more affordable, proven design.
- If you plan to upgrade to INDX later, or just want the latest and greatest, use Single-Story Version. Please note however that, since INBOXX is narrower, it will be tighter inside.

Secondly, BOXX is engineered to be adaptable to your setup. This means you can either place your spools alongside your CORE one, on top of it, or even use BOXX as a cabinet with CORE one on top!!

Third, both the Single-Story and Double-Story versions are available with either hard, self-centring feet or with heavy-duty levelling casters.
The Self-Centring feet can be used if you want to store your filaments on top of the machine, where the feet self-centre on the top. They are also strong enough for placement on a desk or the ground. The Levelling Casters are only advised for placement on the ground, and both can support the weight of a 3D printer on Top.

My recommendations;
With INDX;
- If you plan to place BOXX on a desk (fe; Left or Right of CORE one). I advice going for the Self-Centering feet
- If you plan to place BOXX on the ground (Either with or without CORE one on Top) I advice the Leveling Casters
- IF you plan to mount BOXX on top of CORE one, only the Self-Centering feet are possible
With MMU3;
- Only use on top of CORE one is advised, therefore I advice the Self-Centering Feet

Fourth, the frame is fully symmetrical, and a smart way of part distribution allows you to effortlessly switch the doors’ opening side with just 8 bolts. Same-size exit slots on the Bottom, Sides and rear allow you to choose exactly where you want your PTFE to exit

My recommendations;
Whether you use the MMU3 or INDX, you can choose whichever configuration fits your setup best!Generally I advice following the opening direction of your CORE one to get the most cohesive look.

Then, the main part, for each story, you can choose the way it holds your filaments!

My recommendations;
With INDX;
- You need to go for the SpoolRollers.
- For 1Kg spool sizes; 4-spool version is generally advised
- with 7 tools and the double story version, you can opt for 1 story of 4x 1kg, and the second one with 2x 2kg + 1kg!
With MMU3;
- You need to go for the rewinders
- If you are going to use 1Kg spools, use 5x 1Kg version of the rewinders
- With the Double story version you can choose to fill the top story with 3 rewinders, and the second story with 2x 2KG rewinders!

INBXX uses a fully aluminium extrusion frame that is sturdy and stable enough to support any 3D printing printer up to 40Kg!

INBXX is engineered to use only 2 sizes of extrusions and 1 type of corner bracket, which makes incorrect assembly impossible. It also drives the cost down hugely because we can order the parts in greater amounts.
Then, for mounting the printed frame parts, we of course need some kind of connection to the frame. To prevent hours of needless frustration from adding 120+ loose T-nuts, all kits come with steel strips that include the threads and fit inside the frame, vastly improving the building experience

Also, an even more extensive build and user manual is made to aid people of any knowledge-level in building INBXX. Aside from that, a simple metal sub-frame, symmetrical design, and Poka-yoke elements make a frustration-free building experience.

With a growing community of over 800 people on Discord, support is only a message away! In the discord there are also regular updates on new developments, mods, fun talk and sometimes you can actually help with design decisions, or the future roadmap of the add-ons!

Recommended Setup 1;Ideal when standing on the floor The Double-Story version with Leveling Casters can function as an ergonomic cabinet for your CORE one if you do not plan to place your machine on a desk! Raise the rubber feet to easily relocate or rotate the printer!
Recommendation 2;Ideal for 5+ tools on a desk If you want to use the Double-Story version on a Desk, it can look really neat if you place it alongside the CORE one!! This is also an excellent option if your printer is in a shelf
| |
Recommendation 3;Ideal in a PrintShop environment If you have multiple CORE ones, you can actually route each story to another printer!!
| |
Recommendation 4;Ideal when standing on a desk with 5 tools or less The Single-Story version with Self-Centering feet can sit below CORE one on a desk for a super neat setup!
Recommendation 5;Awesome for MK-series & other printers The Double-Story version with Leveling Casters can function as an ergonomic cabinet for your MK4S, or infact any other printer!! Even when you do not use the rewinders or spoolrollers directly to your printer it can be an awesome way to neatly store your filaments in a humidity controlled chamber! |
But, all of these awesome features would not matter if the availability or cost is poor. Therefore, a large part of last months has been spent on fine-tuning Bill-Of-Materials and putting a total of 300 kits in production!
Worldwide availability is a huge must for me. Therefore, my awesome partner Blurolls3D will provide kits in the same way as they do for COREBOXX. 100 kits will be available for shipping at launch from the Chinese warehouse, shipping worldwide. Another 100 kits are on their way to both a US and EU warehouse, and pre-orders can be made by selecting these as the desired warehouse option.
4 kit options are available at launch
Aside from Blurolls3D, I am cooperating with LDO-motors to provide a more premium kit alternative, which uses a higher standard of extrusions, milled hardware components, black oxidized exterior bolts, etc., for a more premium experience.
These kits will be available soon, join our Discord server to get notified when they are online..
