Gridfinity Layout Tool — plan your layouts before you print

So I got really into Gridfinity a while back and kept running into the same problem: I'd measure a layout, do some napkin math, start printing bins... and then realize my layout didn't actually work. Wrong sizes, forgot about that one bulky item, or just didn't like how it looked once I started placing things.

I ended up building a little web tool to plan layouts visually before printing:

https://gridfinitylayouttool.com

You set your drawer size, click and drag to place bins, and can see a 3D preview of the whole thing. Nothing fancy, but it's saved me from wasting filament a few times now.

Some things it does:

  • Drag to draw bins, resize them, move them around
  • Multiple layers for deeper drawers
  • 3D preview so you can see how it'll look
  • Generates a print list with rough filament estimates
  • Works on your phone too
  • No login or anything. Just saves to your browser

It's free, no account needed. Feedback welcome if you try it out and think something's missing.
