When passion beats fear
Every month, Printables launches amazing design challenges — and I’ve always admired the participants, but never felt “good enough” to join. I used to think my projects, even with all the care and creativity behind them, didn’t quite match the level of those contests.
But this time, something clicked. The theme caught my attention — maybe because it involved a brand I’ve always respected, Cooler Master, and a product I actually use every day. So I thought: why not give it a try?

Designing something that truly makes sense
From that moment, I focused on creating something genuinely useful for owners of the Cooler Master Qube 540 case — not just another accessory, but a real functional upgrade.
That’s how the ModuTray was born: a modular expansion tray that attaches to the case, helping organize objects, hold drinks or headphones, and extend workspace — all while keeping the original clean design of the chassis.
More than modeling — putting my heart into it
I designed every curve, joint, and reinforcement option with passion. Users can choose to add M5 inserts for extra strength, or simply glue the parts with super glue for a quick assembly.
For me, modeling is a form of therapy — a mix of patience, precision, and love for creating something real. This project became a personal journey of confidence and appreciation for the maker community that inspires me every day.

More than a contest — a personal victory
Joining this challenge, after years of holding back, already feels like a win. More than any prize, what truly excites me is seeing something that once existed only in my mind now available for others to print, improve, and enjoy.
If this tray proves useful to someone out there — then every hour of work was worth it.

Gratitude and invitation
Huge thanks to Cooler Master and Printables for supporting creators around the world.
If you own a Qube 540 or just love functional 3D projects, I’d love for you to check out the ModuTray, print it, and share your thoughts.
Because that’s the beauty of 3D printing — turning small ideas into something that truly helps others.
If you've been interested in this project, I'd be very happy if you could like the project in the contest.
