I'll make this short and simple. In situations like print monitoring, maintenance, and the like, AI is pretty helpful. (It avoids the nightmares of spaghetti, right?) But in terms of 3D modeling: You can use AI just as a reference, but NEVER USE AI ALONE. I'd say around 50% of printables.com models are AI-generated. AI models have never even been printed and/or tested in any way. AI models have:
Bad geometry
Way too large file size
Low quality in general
So yeah, while AI can be useful, minimize using it when modeling, if not avoid it directly. Never use AI images as your thumbnail, or passing off the model as your own.
