Works remarkably well! The batteries will indeed jump out when initially loading them, but after that, they all behave themselves.
It holds 13 AA batteries, and more than 13 AAA. I’m not sure because I don’t have that many.
It was a 17 hour print at 60mm/s on my Ender 3 using PLA. I was initially going to print it at 80mm/s, but I was concerned about artifacts appearing on the outer walls from vibrations.
