After several attempts, the desired result was achieved

Worked like a charm! Now I'm going to take another run at some previously problematic print-in-place projects.
Edit to add: One of those problematic projects was the Predator Action Pliers Mk 2 ( https://www.printables.com/model/3388-predator-action-pliers-mk2-prusa-colors). After using this test to dial in the elephant's foot compensation, it came out great! (edited)
Thank you for sharing this knowledge! I don't print tall sequentially often enough for actually printing this, but for the blue moon, I now know I can do some software parameters and leave the lid off! (edited)
@TallDonkey That's right - if your filament type doesn't require the lid to be closed, you can simply take off the lid and set the "height to lid" parameter to whatever you like. This works at least with PLA and Greentec.
The primary (and typical) purpose I need the height extension for is printing RC airplane models. ;)
Thanks, printed without problems on the first try. They work very well at short distances. (edited)
Honestly just downloaded and pressed print and it came out perfectly. Didn’t read the instructions until later.
Would it be possible to add a parameter for "foot width"? The current size is too small for my tripods clamp
@EvilsWay_266254 Sorry, no, the foot has to be Arca compatible. Tried to retroactively add a user param for foot width, but this would kill the whole construction as it is currently designed. However, it is no problem at all to simply cut away the foot in Fusion and add any that you like - which makes much more sense anyway since, for example, the chamfered section itself of a Mafrotto 500 dovetail is about twice as wide as that of an Arca dovetail.
Any chance of a version for non-autocad users, like FreeCAD?
@sbuerger Thanks for offering, once I get my new calipers I'll revert. Would still be great to have a freeCad or other open-source parametric modelling file format as well, but realise that might be quite a job.
@YuletanQuick_3336642 Yep, that would have to be done from scratch, I guess (yet I couldn't do it in FreeCAD, so this would be a task for someone else). However, you're welcome to submit your parameters for an individual model.
