Really cool model, printed this for a friend of mine as a gift, looking forward to his reaction when he sees it :-)
Printed in Polyterra Muted Blue and Cotton White PLA, came out great, only issue was the Tokyo Tower…
… eventhough I had the filament in the dryer for over 10 hours, I got some nozzle build up and of course it caught on two of the legs of the tower, breaking them off.
Printed just the Tower then on my MK4S with a 0.25 nozzle and was able to replace the complete tower and save the 34 hour print :-)
Can’t even tell a difference now, so mission accomplished.
Very sturdy and pleasing case with several small issues.
- There is so much useless empty space in the lid that if you invert the box, the collets fall off their holes and get mixed. Needs a thick pad. - There really should be a version with no text at all - Text is almost invisible, but easy to highlight, though - The gaps for the outsides of the hinge are too tight for assembly without cutting - The clasp otoh has a lot of gap, so it doesn't hold very tight - The hinge is round, meaning the overhang is steep - The vertical ridges are probably pointless complications (edited)
