Thats exactly what I was looking for
The original voron fan mount design is ugly, strange complicated and not rigit enough for me, only one mounting point is badddd
I love your design!!!
Thanks <3
This looked so silly compared to the original, but such a great idea. I was modifying a Tronxy with Afterburner, and I already had wired up a 5015 fan, so I knew it worked great. It looks like cheaper fans have their tabs go a little further down. In my one picture I had to file with a Dermel the notch a bit deeper down so the tab would clear but turned out great. The assembly is still continuing today, but I wanted to post it.
ABS 0.2 layer 4 walls, 5 top/bottoms, and 40% infill (edited)
I have not attached it yet but I will say the heat inserts and the fan fit perfectly and looks like it will fix my issue with the stock cooling not working very well on PLA when printing fast..thank you very much for the design.
Seems to work great, i modified the hole to fit a M8 coupling. Also, i saw that the mesh in corrispondence of the holes is "dirty" you can see it in the slicer preview and on the print it self, i gave 4 stars only for this. Great job however!
some things are not yet mature, e.g. the m3x8 screws don't fit at all for the waveshare, even the original screws from waveshare, because the housing doesn't have the right depth for the screws nat (edited)
@padigree thx for quick response, maybe you can improve the model, here are some pictures :) to get fitted the screws I just I widened it with a drill and sunk it :D
@x3dr_242022 thanks for the info. They are definetly shorter than mine. I think mine are about M2.5x10 or so. I'll have a look at it this weekend.
