Just pushed a new release of ProtoXtruder (not 2.0).
Some small tweaks to dimensions and minor aesthetical changes.
Also uses less plastic as a side effect. https://www.printables.com/model/436425-protoxtruder
It fits well on my 40mm delta fan. The upper cut on the thread hole is indeed a nice trick. Thank you very much for making these excellent remixes.
@jackhsu_190859 You're welcome! Thanks for the compliment.
any chance to make another for 40?🤞
@assafalshocha_834065 Scaling down to 40mm will make the walls too thin.
I'm trying some alternate methods but no success yet.
@assafalshocha_834065 Hi! Just a heads-up here. I just made an update with 40mm size available. Let me know if there's any problem! (edited)
ProtoXtruder 2.0 (from now on I'll call it PX 2.0) has been updated to match the pin length that Haldis included in their gear kit.
There should be no functional or performance difference.

I may print it lately
Awesome extruder. Depending on your HGX gear kit and what kind of extruder you use, you may want to trim your tensioning screw so it doesn't collide.
Turned out great! even printed the t-glase insert on the v0. The rest of the parts were on the p1s. (edited)
Printed on Bambulab X1C
Filament: Nobufil ABSx Matt Black and Nobufil ABSx Copper
@Micha1986_384997 How did you cover your fan grills with a placeholder mesh?
@MatrixRay_295903 Hello and sorry for the very late reply.
Unfortunately, I haven't looked in here for a long time.
I added the fan grilles myself.
I did this in the slicer. I inserted a cylinder and defined it as honeycomb filling.
@adiskovarik WOW!
what a machine
where I can find the:
skirt ON bottom mod?
usb mod? side fan?
@Gtimit_346228 Hi, Thank you :)
Side fan is https://www.printables.com/cs/model/490441-guile-mini-rscs-fan-for-voron-v02
Air scrubber is https://www.printables.com/cs/model/517219-bento-mini-for-bambu-lab-x1c-p1p-and-voron-v02
Buttons and usb are my mods, I will upload them soon :)
Always nice to avoid supports and punch through holes. Thank you for the remix.
Printed it on my A1 mini from BASF Ultrafuse PET CF15 because it has to withstand high temperatures. Works perfect.
What can I say... This is a great extruder!
@Axel_330658 Thank you!
Pleased with weight (122g + cable), need to test it out and share my experiences.
Thanks for this awesome mod! I printed these parts and installed my LGX-Lite gears because I had these and they fit fine except for the first stage gear. This gear has a hole for a 4x20mm shaft and for that I had to make 2 aluminum adapter rings. I hope there will be an update for LGX-Lite gears, that would be perfect.
I have one more request... a hole behind the heatset insert in the Latch_Shuttle. I screwed in my screw almost all the way so that there is only a little tension on the spring, that's a little too little.
First prints look very good, weight is also better unlike another LGX lite mod. Thanks again! You did a very good job here!
@nhchiu thank you very much 👍
@nhchiu Thanks for your design, but my LGX lite gear is larger than that your design, can you modify this?
Thanks for an awesome design @nhchiu! I remixed it to add a filament sensor: https://www.printables.com/model/487742-large-gear-clockwork2-ercf-filament-sensor
However, my mod was done quite hackily using OpenSCAD so I wonder if you might be able to copy my design using the original CAD files? That would help a lot in making the part look nicer!
Now the only part that remains is to support some way of attaching the reverse bowden tube securely in the extruder to enable ERCF to be used with this extruder!
@dflemstr I'm aware of this issue and will fix it in next update. The reason was trying to prevent deforming soft materials too much, but looks like it causes more issues than that it solves.
@nhchiu OK, nice. No rush from my end, I fixed the issue again very hackily by tweaking the guidler assembly slightly. I updated my remix model page with the STLs and description. The modded guidler has made the filament sensor ultra reliable so far.
I love it!
Printed with Devil Design ASA and installed on my Tronxy X5SA on a Praying Mantis toolhead.
@hexhu_1831371 Thank you!
Thanks a lot.
ABS, layer height 0.15mm, line width 0.45-0.5mm, speed ~80mm/s. Printed in box =)
Gears had some axial movement so I've printed a few 0.15mm washers to fix that (I was told that such movement is fine).
Sweet lil orange pi zero 2 case for when it needs to be installed on a printer. Only takes like a haft house to print clean up and have ready to go :) 10/10
@JeffGriffin_339802 Thanks for sharing! 😄
Nice Model. I printed the black one at 0.2mm quality and the other two at 0.15mm quality , they're all Eryone PETG. The difference in time was worth it - the aerial holder came out much smoother. Nice homes for orange pi zero 2's. Thanks for sharing.
@BigE You're welcome! Thanks for sharing your experience.
wow this is really helpful. also thanks for teaching me how to use the add custom gcode thing. got my 0.6mm nozzle set
@smellyboyroy_2154866 You're welcome! Glad it helps!
Just what I was hoping to find, a quick solution that did not involve purchasing feet. Thank you!
@BreitIdeasInc You're welcome!
I have printed 4 so far, TBH this is my favourite voron style toolhead. it is the smallest toolhead I have used, and has just enough cooling for most printing I do.
@JoshuaAdam_2505758 Thank you for the kind words!
Just upgraded to the Mini Stealthburner but I can't stand the fact they've made it even higher than the Afterburner which means the PTFE tube and umbilical are seriously pushing against the tophat. I don't want to print some extended tophat and make the printer higher than it needs to be. I think the combination of this toolhead and the Sherpa Mini will give me the best clearance possible.
