This is a real neat thing to have and convinient to use, altough one might change some things in the future. The release seems really easy to be pulled out. It might be a nice additional emotional/mental hurdle to apply a little more force to make it come apart. This could be achieved by giving the releases latches some more material. This also would solve a little "dealbreaker" with this desing too. Because the soft release, one is easily able to slide and wiggle it back in. Although the overall shape is really pleasing, an additional chamfer around the body and a smaler hole for the lock/keyring might make the body beeing printed more easily and look even nicer. Nevertheless, a great idea and fun thing to have around (edited)
@firstgizmo Thanks so much for the feedback! We love the way it turned out on your machine. We are already underway on an improved model to address a smaller hole alongside an increase in the angle provided by the latches. For our first public contribution it gives us so much motivation to continue our project. Thank you, truely. - Meowlock Team
I have 3D printed this in my own colours and it's come out really nice, time to put a key in it now, I would have to agree its easy to remove and the hole for the lock could be much smaller, You can always make 2 versions with different hole sizes, 7mm and 4mm depending on the lock people use.
