Hi! Thanks so much for sharing this model. I’m trying to replace just the rod with the gear, but I can’t seem to get the gearbox off the rod. When I try to pull it off, it just spins around the rod instead of coming loose. Do you have any tips? Should I be using more force, or is there a specific trick to it?

To remove the gear, I used two pairs of pliers. I clamped locking pliers onto the rod just below the gear, then inserted a second pair of pliers between the locking pliers and the gear. By carefully prying and pushing the gear, it came off effortlessly.
Refer to the attached image for a visual demonstration (imagine the screw is the rod).
This fits really really well, you did a great job designing it!

PS: I'm pretty sure it'll break if I try to pull if off, but that's on me for printing with PETG
@RhyloNight Nice color, glad it works fine for you! I think you are right, it may be challenging to remove it intact w/o some tooling. I have't tried removing mine yet (the one from the cover picture) since posting the model. Was planning to reprint it in a different material, which has never happened probably because it turned to be "good enough" for me.
