Solid mod rods are now available, which means you've got more options for printing the Spinning Star-Moon Staff ( https://www.printables.com/model/616336-spinning-star-moon-staff).
You can find all the Mod Rod designs in this collection, which I will add to as I add designs: https://www.printables.com/@lytta/collections/1729029
Coming soon: A glowing orb staff that is compatible with both the solid and vase mode mod rods.
Very pretty model that very easy to print. Printed with the viva la bronze prusament; it is so shiny, which I think looks great.
Now I have to find the magical lock that this key opens.
So, I haven’t been very active on here for a couple months now beyond posting the iris pen holder, and that is because things have been a bit hectic and I have some catch-up to do! (My past two months have included: I got shingles, I found out my medical insurance was cut off and I had about a week to get new coverage (fortunately AFTER the shingles), and then it turned out it was time to clean and pack up half the house for a complete kitchen rebuild, and now I have been coexisting with construction and no kitchen. 😵💫) I’m doing fine, but I’m definitely playing a lot of catch-up now.
I have three finished designs I intend to post in the next week: one for club members, one Creative Commons - Attribution, and one based on a museum object that will be Public Domain. So keep an eye out!
Wishing you all the best as you go through this hectic time. That's a shame about your insurance. Glad you got it sorted out though. 🫶
My kid ate the last of my favorite Brioche and that was enough to make me almost quit my job, so you have my eternal support for going through all that back to back!!!
Looking forward to seeing what comes next - at the pace you are comfortable taking, lots of recovery from all that!
Printed in Ambrosia Uber ABS Purple, 0.2mm layer height. This design is fantastic, although I used some mouse ears to help it adhere. There was a single loose perimeter (see picture), but it's not difficult to remove.
One thing I would note for folks using OrcaSlicer: scarf seams _ignore_ your seam painting requests, so for this print, I advise disabling them. There's also an easier way to hide the seams (see pictured seam paint and slicer preview), which is what I used.
For whatever reason I couldn’t get the settings right configuring it myself—I must have missed one of the steps in the instructions somehow. But the provided 3mf worked like a charm! It’s super cute and opens as described. (Perhaps I’ll go through later and find the difference in the configurations.)
Hypothetically, would you print and wear a squid crown for April Fools Day?
My Crystal Bowl that prints in vase mode is now available for purchase through the Printables store! https://www.printables.com/model/543897-crystal-bowl-vase-mode
Previously it was only available through a club subscription. Going forward, I'm going to publish most if not all paid models to both the club and the store, with Commercial Use licenses available through a higher club tier.
Such a cute model! Printed two of the same for kiddos to play with. Scaled them down to 75%. Turned out great! Thanks!
Spiral Vase Hibiscus is finished, and I've posted it as my first 'for sale' store model on Printables. Check it out if you're looking for more flowers to print and/or want to support my designs: https://www.printables.com/model/761319-spiral-vase-hibiscus
That looks incredible!
Absolutely beautiful 😍
Cool little print, like the swirl pattern, works well with my grumpy pumkin to!
