Are the orange sides, 3d printed or acrylic?
Are the orange sides, 3d printed or acrylic?
Hi, I had to order stainless steel laser cut brackets for the Ice Tower, and to lower the price, I had to buy a few, so if anyone is interested, send me a message. (edited)
In response to comment by Benny, I have uploaded a STP file of this project so people can export the parts their own way, if they're getting errors.
You can get the slimmer usb adapters from Amazon at https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0BC223PKX/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 £6.75 for 2 of 'em and a couple of weeks for delivery. Changing the subject, have you got the base as a single item? I have an Ender-3 S1 Plus on the way, it has a 30cm x 30cm bed so the keyboard should just be able to fit on it. If not I can combine the two halves myself.
@jispal01_273738 Have you tried purchasing from the co.uk site in the link? I often buy from the American site with no problem. I am still interested in the one-piece the Ender is arriving sometime tomorrow :) I have been so busy this last week, I haven't had time to combine the halves yet.
@jispal01_273738 Ha! I posted as you replied. Thx, I have reserved some time for this weekend to work on it.
I only made the fan mount, because that is all I needed. I really like the simple design and how the POE/reset pins are left open as well. It is *just enough* without any extra.
There are some files missing the stl files for the front connector and to clip the keyboard. I am busy printing the last small parts hope you can update soon.
@jispal01_273738 Thanks gonna print now :) what program you use to design just for intrest sake ?
@Donno_356095 Solid Edge. There's a totally free, feature rich Community Edition (although it only runs on Windows). The downside is that it's really hard to find tutorials on Youtube. I did a video tutorial using Solid Edge Community Edition to design a simple Raspberry Pi case on my channel.
https://youtu.be/u10H4iiqZSA That's the "quick" video, but I did a more in-depth version too.
After a month and the case has been modified. LOL Please share drawings I want to build a Pi400 Hacker Laptop
@Donno_356095 There is a ASSYforEXPORT.STP file. It's an assembly you should be able to import into whatever CAD program your comfortable with and you can pull out the parts you need. The Keyboard and the Pi400 mainboard are parts in that assembly. They're low-detail, but good enough to work with.
It's awesome for me to see one in the wild getting used. Thanks for posting pics!
This is my modded version of your case. Not a remix. I added wide body style side panels, push-pull fan set up, and a different style top fan cover. I like how all ports are perfectly aligned. Good job on the design.
@StephenGiven_1573615 nice print! would you be so kind and share your version so we can print it too? :)
Thank you @jispal01_273738 for this beautiful case 👍
I made a remix with a small modification. I couldn't
get laser cut acrylic for the sides and hence had to improvise.
