can't escape leg day but must be difficult when your calf muscles are facing the wrong way!
@Sheriff1505_2224644 lol yup, I realized this way too late in the game as I was posting haha
@hotcupandco_1585464 It's so easily done!! Until Muppets like me comment on it haha! Love the model anyways. Might have to make a full gym for my guys
I am making this, but having a hard time lining up the sections. Can you make a guide piece that uses the ridge for aligning the split pieces?
@bengadget_27236 As requested, an alignment tool folder has been uploaded with some tools along with a short blurb in the details section
@hotcupandco_1585464 Thank you so much, I am excited to get it together!
@Katfish Nice!! Thanks for sharing! (edited)

I'm totally printing this! I do agree the supports are a bit much on this one. Kinda comes with the territory of military industrial aesthetics haha
The best idea I have is adding some sort of sliding-lock feature and attaching the rails via that route...
Now I just need to find some actual picatinny stuff to throw onto it...something with lasers
@Seven_1685248 Just added a photo with my recommended support settings. With this setup, printing PETG, they pop off easily! :)
Heck yeah - can't go wrong with lasers
Printed on P1S, supports came off fine, used printed screws to attach (possibly try M4 for more snug fit?) 5/5
@Seven_1685248 Looks great!!
First abs print, only pic I got of it before my friend took it for his car, works great, appreciate the effort
Wondering what settings you used.
I have had many issues. And I'm positive I'm missing something.
@LeonardDowne_2448697 Hm, yeah, that'd weird. I printed with PLA and tree supports. Printed it right side up tilted back so that the bottom rear of the helmet was touching the build plate. The dome will print fine without supporting the inside. Only supports I used was for the bottom perimeter and the nose area
@hotcupandco_1585464 that what i tried first. I even tried with a raft (biggest fail) and i hate those
Can you do one without the bat ears? I love your shape and the nose ridge that continues up to the top. The bat ears just don’t work for a project I’m wanting to do.
@DadalorianKC_1711248 I've actually already got it posted! Check out my profile. It's in there :)
@hotcupandco_1585464 awesome! thanks for letting me know!
Fantastic model! Scaled up a slight bit to fit some 3/4” pipe I had, and added some 5mm holes to screw it to a piece of wood. Worked great to paint my helmet!
@ShawnVincent_1354380 love it! That's an awesome idea to use it as a painting tool. Looks great!
