This print/build intrigues me. The wires on the plane look realy cool. The engine is also very nice detailed. I downloaded it, but in Cura i was wondering if it could be printed nice. So i took the plane apart in tinkercad and printed all seperate. That worked out great. Then the loose parts were painted to give it a more realistic look, after that i glued it all in place. In the end the wires were a bit hard, but it all came out very nice... extremely happy with it... Thank you... (edited)
@Wilfred Thanks for printing it and sharing the make! It looks great.
The files should print as uploaded depending on whether/ how much you scale it. I've tested it out pretty thoroughly and successfully printed it a few times on two different printers. Looks like your alterations worked out nicely, though.
If I were to redesign it, I would separate the tail just because it would be too bad for something to go wrong at the end of a long print. This is how I'm approaching my current design, a Sopwith Triplane (see attached).
BTW, the bits on the tail that aren't the landing skid are just there to support the print. They're not there on the original aircraft. Cheers.
Looks Great! Thanks for posting.
