This is a cool use of infill. I'm not familiar enough with mufflers to add anything specific, but I wonder if adding in some interior baffles would further help reduce noise.
@PaulJohnson_917235 I've got another design I have to upload, and playing with infill even more, I've got one that reduces noise so much, I don't think baffles are necessary, but for sure, the flow rate is quite a bit lower.
I guess the key is how much flow rate you want to preserve, but that can also be addressed by adding surface area. What's surprising is the new design that is quieter is also dramatically _smaller_!

Great little model! Printed out the 8.0, 8.5, and 9.0 before settling on 8.5 as the right size for me.

I remixed in slicer: half height and 31.8 cylinder negative. Didn't check the width until too late. Two of five stems I checked were too wide. But I like the idea!
