I highly recommend applying a clear coat (varnish) after printing. During my own test print, the faucet part detached from the build plate, so I ended up printing it in two separate pieces. If you prefer, you can try printing the faucet alone on a separate build plate at a slower speed. When printing too fast or together with other parts, there’s a higher chance it might fall off the plate.
Printed on Bambu Lab A1 Mini with PLA. Layer height: 0.12 mm To make support removal easier, I increased the Support Interface Layer Height to 0.16 mm.
This works well for overhangs like the cape and arms — supports peel off more cleanly.
However, on curved areas like the belly, it may cause slight surface imperfections or stair-stepping. For better results, try:
0.10 mm layer height for finer detail 0.12 mm support interface height A bit of light sanding afterward if needed
Not the easiest print, but definitely worth the result — especially if you plan to paint it. Happy printing! (edited)
Hi! I didn’t sand it because I was just testing the size and part fitting. But I definitely recommend sanding. A coat of paint and varnish would also look amazing! Happy printing!
@ThomasClinto_1051757 I'm really glad it worked perfectly on your V0.2! The print looks super clean — thanks a lot for testing the updated version and sharing your results.
