@DaddyWazzy so far so good! I've been running it since I made the post and haven't had any issues! I only print pla on this machine so if you print ABS I'd recommend at least petg/abs/asa

Thanks for the guide, it was very helpful. I'm using a cartographer so I had to refer to their documentation as well but it all went well. Just wanted to mention a couple of things in case they help other people:
1. I had no safe_z_home section in my config file so I added it as advised in the docs
2. I couldn't get the adxl345 on the carto to work. It was complaining of outdated Klipper versions and some command not having the correct params so I just kept the default one
3. The print start macro gave me a bit of a problem until I figured out that the change needed to be added was just
M109 S100 # Heats the nozzle to 100c
CARTOGRAPHER_TOUCH TOLERANCE=0.015
after the BED_MESH_CALIBRATE line. I'm setting the nozzle to 100 but it doesn't seem to matter as long as it's below 150....100 should give it a good buffer.
The default tolerance is 0.01, I raised it because it failed a lot when beginning prints, this seems to work ok for me
4. Not sure if anyone else had this problem but taking out that fan killed the print speed at least for PETG which is what I tried until now. I'll probably need to retune mu filament profiles but I'm in the process of building another toolhead so I'll just do it then
5. I had issues with the printer losing communication with the scanner mcu. I fixed that by changing to another usb cable I got from an old mouse. I'm not sure if the cable was the issue or I just secured the second cable better. So if you have this issue make sure the cable is properly secured
6. I can't do a firmware restart anymore because Klipper can't reestablish the connection to the scanner. A hardware restart does work though so I'm just doing that for now
Overall scanning is very fast compared to the probe the printer came with and the first layer is consistent even for large prints so I'm happy I went with the carto.
If anyone has any ideas on fixing the adxsl, the firmware restart or the cooling issue please share.
