Would this print without supports?
Would this print without supports?
@MaineMike_173773 You can, I just had supports on mine for under the cheek bones
@XTRUD3D Thank you. Sometimes it's difficult to what needs them and what doesn't
Very cute, and perfect for my new filament!
Filament:
Eryone Tricolor Silk PLA in Red/Gold/Purple
@XTRUD3D Thanks! Is this the same filament you used for yours? (Eryone Tricolor Silk PLA in Red/Gold/Purple) It looks really similar!
@litlnemo I used Duramic - Silk Gold Magenta, but it does look very similar!
I like how it looks like a regular Dragon, until you realize the back is covered with Roses!
@TimHemi_2148907 thanks for sharing your make! Looks great!
@DaveRankin_1800205 awesome color choice!! I have tested this model down to 60% without issues. thank you for sharing the photo and for the rating!
Installation tips:
You can use the screws that held the platform in place during shipping to hold the filament sensor in place. You flip them upside down and install them from underneath the top plate before you screw the top plate down. The sensor simply sits on the two posts unable to move much.
OrcaSlicer will print a much better version of this, you can use PLA and it won't break. I used a hilburt curve and tree supports at 90 degree threshold. Be careful not to rip the cable when you install it into the chain. :-( (edited)
@robgarcia looks great in that color! Thanks for sharing a photo of your make
80 scale, .25 layer height, 3 perimeters. Generic Amazon/chinese color changing PLA. I had loose extrusions on the female threads on the lid. It looked like they printed in segments vs round. It still works fine, thread issue is most likely due to scaling down or filament choice. Thanks for the .stl !!
I got off by one layer in color change but the model was good, quick and easy to print. The single layer wrong actually looks pretty good since the white under it shows through some.
@GManTech looks great in black and yellow! Thanks for sharing your make
Printed it at 80% size in regular pla, it worked great.
It's a great model..
i'm not giving it 5 stas because i think the model should have sof edges, bevels or chamfers .
this filament was invented for that!! perfect model-filament pairing
@CsabaBarath_575604 looks awesome! defiantly a great paring!
