Very nice helix, I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to modeling. So I can't quite figure out how you did that. I made mine with blender.
Those organic supports can be a bit of a pain to figure out!
Pattern on bottom is pointless, as long as you print it on the proper combination of build surface and filament you won't get warping. The only thing it does is make it take longer to print and waste filament.
