Hey, would you mind sharing a STEP file for this? Thank you
I’ve always been amazed by how people manage to create ART...
..and finally, I’ve unlocked the secret!
Hey, would you mind sharing a STEP file for this? Thank you
@mxlje_765103 Since creating this model the first time a long time ago i have made a bunch of experimental iterations and adjustments and several sizes and versions and none of them convinced me to be the best to remove the others. Its all a big mess now.
I have uploaded the STEP file of whatever was the latest. Hopefully it helps.
@TigFur_454218 Thank you, this is definitely helpful!
These cookie cutters are an absolute game changer. They save so much time when baking. Absolutely recommendable. Printing also went without a hitch.
I printed this tool in PETG, and I noticed that the plastic is too soft for tightening the spokes.
@NikoLeskovar_1448434 Not surprised
Brilliant design! I always forget which spoke size I'm using with this tool. Your solution will definitely make wheel maintenance more enjoyable! Thanks!
@thrasher Thank you!
I had a lot of fun designing this, it looks nice, is practical, easy and cheap to print and makes a really fun clicky fidget too! I don't usually manage to check all of these.
I expected it would become quite popular, yet it hasn't even managed 10 downloads so far.
That makes your comment so important to me, as now i know that even among the first few downloads it found someone to enjoy it and i was not the only one who thought that these spoke wrenches could be improved.
Maybe most people just don't true their bikes in October \_(ツ)_/
thanks for cool design. Now it is much easier to use that tool and not constantly rotating it and search for the right size!
@TigFur_454218 mine is 31,5mm in diameter. I made a remix that uses a ball detent so I don't rely on printed springs. I like your idea and it looks extremely cute, sadly it's not so stable for my usage
@Antimaterie Nice solution, metal springs will last longer for sure.
The size difference is not that big. Maybe it plays a role that i made mine out of ABS. I could make them thicker or so... Let's see what info the nexr reviews bring. It's fun to see the designs evolve.
Awesome! Used these to streamline my hiking bag for normal use. Seriously great!
I've been grumbling since I got this backpack about its weirdly long straps, but I'm also never going to trim them shorter, "just in case." (Me: Just in case WHAT? My brain: Just in CASE, GOSH.) It finally occurred to me that other people have probably had this same issue, and this design was the first I tried.
No need to print any others! This one works perfectly. I particularly appreciate that it just snaps shut vs. having to jam a strap around corners. Because of the sheer length of the straps, I'm folding them instead of rolling them, but my grade-school self is whispering at me from 30 years ago to roll them... so maybe another day I'll print one of the thicker versions and do it that way.
