Great idea to use the clicky-clack door with glass panels! Makes my printer so much nicer to use! I did remix the latch, and will be posting it shortly, as I used some weather strip between the door and frame, it needs a bit more than magnets to close it perfectly :)
you may be interested in my mod, to allow the side panels to remove more easily, I also have glass on my 2.4 350, https://github.com/VoronDesign/VoronUsers/tree/main/printer_mods/Koios/6mm_Glass
I love the idea of doing a clicky-clack door with glass though, so much that I ordered the parts :D I'll post a make once I get them from china.
Hi @SvanB ,
Thanks for the design. How is the base fixed to the car? Only by friction of the honey comb? Or did you clue it in? Thanks.
Love it! Only problem is the small one has a hole in the model, I fixed it with a 3D pen since I didn't notice it until I already printed it : )
Love the design! Just finished printing it. Went with the 250 mm setup, but scaled everything down to 94% (235 mm base to fit my print bed). Hoping to get everything assembled asap once pod inserts arrive. I prefer the cone pods since this is going to be my sprouting bin but would love to be able to have more slots available.
@SvanB Any chance you could setup the 250 lid to support 9 pods? I feel the lips could be minimized quite a bit as its heavy on filament when it doesnt need to be.
Thank you for the setup regardless if youre not able to help out with the modification. Pods, bins, and cups are perfect sizes!I will update with my build once its setup and going.
Update 1:
Added a photo of how it’s setup currently for sprouting. Using AeroGarden plant food/water mixture. I want to say today is day 3 of seeds being dropped and they are growing fast! Definitely my shorted sprout time. Last photo, take 20 minutes ago and they have already grown a few mm!
Update 2:
I created a modified lid and cones for more starting pods. Since using that I’ve started more seeds from the dry state and this overall model is really showing its worth. Added a few more photos. (edited)
@3DimensionalSPAZZ thank you for the feedback. I’ll try to incorporate your feedback and request in the next iteration.
