Yeah, a 0.4mm nozzle at this scale for moving/functional parts isn't going to work. Now I'm tempted to try a 0.1mm nozzle, see if my tolerances go from 0.5mm+ back to 0.2mm for a slip fit.

Now can this shoot if it doesnt I'm disapointed and you should make one that shoots, but if it does then I will print just about 30 of them.
@Vrtyeeh2_yt_1318130 this is just a model, unfortunately. But it would be fun to make a desk turret using cameras--two or more for a wide or 360 degree veiw, or for depth perception--running off an arduino with facial rec, have it shoot orbees at anyone it doesn't recognize, or specific targets (siblings?). Soak the orbees in water with fart spray. Silent, but deadly. Stick one on an fpv rc tank--that's multiple layers of awesome, it's just missing a speaker that starts playing AC/DC when the turret opens fire. That's a bit out of my pay grade, tho. But one can dream, no?
@SerinFel_1020004 I think you just thought of a way to weaponize a turret made out of plastic. :) I like how you came up with 3 different ideas for what it could do and extra things to add on it.
Great job. Barrel was scaled to 80% height due to my limited build area but the rest of the parts were printed at 100% scale in PLA+. Everything fit together without glue. The upper leg is missing from the individual parts so I used the plated parts for now.
@ScottBrady_1284771 thanks for the heads up, I'll get that fixed (the missing neck). Glad the models worked for you--I think ABS shrinkage was my problem. I need to make handles to replace the elbow.
Perfect for additional floating shelf support. Had to size down to 98% to fit on the A1 Mini bed. Just a tad longer than the 180mm.
I printed it out as a medieval fantasy dagger and I am more than thrilled! It was a lot of fun putting the dagger together!
@DasGold_951118 wow, that looks great! I'm so glad you had fun. I need to model a sword or something. I just started playing Baldur's Gate 3, so maybe Icing Death or Twinkle (scimitars of Drizzt Do'urden). Odd names, kinda reminds me of dangerous cake and stars, but cool weapons. So many cool things, so little time...
After having successfully printed at 0.1mm LH on my X1C with a 0.4mm nozzle, I've decided to try again at making a set of articulated hands for Dummy 13. Man, these finger segments are tiny at 150%, any smaller I don't think will work.
I've run some test prints for fitment and THIS is the tolerance I have to print at or the parts won't fit together. Printed at 0.1mm LH and 0.26 LW, these actually fit together when printed, and they have to be printed slow, but they're fitting. I'd print with a smaller nozzle, but I'm trying to make it work with a .4 nozzle because that's what most people have, and I plan on sharing this.
Yeah, this might actually work... I'm feeling enthusiastic.
