I printed this in PLA for funsies. What type of filament should be used for actual usage with an AR?
@James_1437339 PLA+, PLA Pro, potentially PETG (i havent tested that one while bashing it against barriers yet) ASA, PA6/PA12 CF/GF, PET CF/GF, PP, PC, and PPS-CF.
Printed in PETG.
To install it, you might need a slave-pin, else it isn't possible. A cyclinder diameter 4mm, height 15mm ist sufficient for that role, just print it too.
Sadly it didn't work after installing it. I am not sure why, but the joint still tends do disclocate and send the trigger part flying. I used V1.1
If you need a guide on how to install, take a look at this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=706xBKTzVHM
It is a nice idea though! (edited)
@Nivenante Thank you a lot fr your detailed writeup! I'll be revising the design soon since it seems that the joint pops out too frequently for nearly everyone that's tried it. Your cement is quite helpful!
@Scout339 I am looking forward to it!
If I might give some idea here: If the trigger like grip wouldn't be converging supports on that part wouldn't be needed. Although I like the form it has.
love this grip. curious, why is it not made fully hollow? Is it a strength issue?
@Gmannewt_2414977 I'm only responsible for the texture on the grip, not the grip itself. The original creator did make a V2 that was more hollow, I have simply not done a texture for it yet.
Is it possible to install it in upper position if no upper fan? I'm using 30mm GPU.
@Oleksii_518242 not sure as I havent made it yet, might want to ask the original designer that mine was based off of. When i make it I can get back to you, and if it doesnt ill remix it to be able to do so as I also have a long GPU and dont want it to interfere. (edited)
Don't have a flashlight within reach but all three models printed easy and in less than 30 minutes. Ordered black PETG to print a more useful one after figuring out which size I want.
@PeterMiller_423116 always uplifting to see when people find use for my prints!! Thanks for the feedback as well. One of the pictures on the printables page above has a sizing chart, hopefully one of your lights are on it to help you out! (edited)
what kinda filament did you print with?
@DgoDrummer_527407 PLA+ or stronger will be perfectly fine.
needed something like this for my Razer Edge 2023 (which uses the Kishi v2 pro). Reduced Z height to 3mm, and it worked! likely needed additional 1mm shaved off the sides, but too lazy to reprint. Thanks for the model!
@Scout339 ok, went back and tweaked it - 80% X and 80% Y, with Z remaining at 3mm (66.7%) works much better for the Razer Edge (and Kishi v2 Pro). Here are some new photos of them installed - feel free to add in the description. thanks again!
@jericho_294486 This is awesome, thank you for the information! Glad you got some use out of the model!
Thought I'd mention that there is a WRONG way to install these. I thought you could use a Qdevil as a connector for a big loop of paracord around a tarp. You can but take care how you do it... Notice in the picture the free loop is on the same side as the opening in the Qdevil. That makes it want to come apart when tension is applied. See the model description for a picture of the correct way! (edited)
@bcitizen_546102 That's very interesting way of doing it lol. But yes, the intended way is in the documentation that I tried to make, hopefully its clear enough! Haha.
This is exactly what I needed. I’ve used these to put paracord sling loops on my bow riser so I can use this same gun sling on my bow as well.
@alwaysmaking_1249905 Right on! Glad it could be of use to you!
@Scout339 I wanted to add, I used PETG to make them and I did a strength test by suspending a bucket. It didn’t even start to bend with 100lbs in the bucket.
Cool, i love marauders and this logo! I would love more marauders print content (edited)
@MohammadRezaM_443938 Tnats awesome! I didn't know tnat people wanted this haha.
@Scout339 this is great! you're genius :)
