Quite enjoyed painting this one! Hadn't realized you had a smooth version until I looked at the downloads.
Also perfect timing sense I needed some sort of monster for the modular droids to face (check out the artist on MMF for details)
Scaled to 250mm height. Printed with Overture Easy Rock White PLA. Added the base from another Weeping Angel file.
I forgot to take a picture, but the first one I printed was the dormant angel. My daughter got that as a birthday present. In a month, I'm going to secretly switch it out with the attacking angel.
great model, printing with tree supports was flawless, very good and sharp detail in 0.08 mm
Lovely to paint!
Hilarious model. I printed mine in CC3D Silk Copper PLA. I may upload another make with a painted version. I did have consistent troubles with the bottom of the tail fin coming out bad. I switched to tree supports and that seemed to fix the problem. Other than that, the little bottom fin, before the tail fin, came out rough. I printed this at 0% infill and 0.10mm layer height. Most of the models I print I like to print at 0% infill and 3 perimeters. This one may be the exception. The fins are small and need infill as additional strength. Aside from all that, everything else came out really clean. Please make more models of this theme. (edited)
Any chance a version might be available with the sword, spear and other bits as separately printable pieces?
@mpo_1431657 no, sorry.
@PrintedEncounter - NP - motivation for a new version when I come up with a reason to send a cube up against my players... thanks for posting your versions.
Printed with prusament petg on mk4 mmu3. One with 100% infill the other with 0%. The later is obviously more transparent so the rough figure of an engulfed character is shining through.
Printed upside down.
Printed on an Ender 3 with esun's PLA+ in cold white.
I used Cora's tree supports and standard detail level. So the layer lines are something I knew would happen. The supports popped off so nicely though, easiest elemental to remove the supports for so far. Looks exactly like I wanted, as if some angry water is attacking you.
Great model.
This was a fun one to paint! I finished it glossy to give it an additional gross moistness look.
