Congrats man!
Looks great! I'll have to print it!
Works perfect! And looks great in these glow-in-the-dark filaments. I can't wait to give these to my niece and nephew.
Wow, 50 followers ! This is awesome :D I am so grateful that you are following me. I hope you enjoy discovering my newest creations as much as I enjoy making them. I am following quite a few of you and I always enjoy seeing what you come up with :)
I wanted to know, what do you enjoy the most about my models ? The whimsical models (dragon windmill, the ramp walker, etc) or the functional things (solder pipe, workshop bridge, etc) ?
I also enjoy sharing the creative process of making the models. Do maybe do not see much of it because I find the printables community aspect a bit cumbersome, so if you want to tchat with me about 3D printing, you will find me at:
- Mastodon: https://mastodon.social/@plantagolabs
- Discord: https://discord.gg/xmhXWpCZuN
I hope to talk with you there soon ^_^
Happy printing, I cannot wait to see your next model/make :)
Hello there !
So a few days ago I released my mechanical legs for the XRP robotic platform : https://www.printables.com/model/933547-strider-type-robotic-legs-for-xrp (I would be so happy if you could leave a like on the model's page, that would help me so much for the contest :) )
Now this model was designed with the XRP contest in mind, and the central frame does not quite fit the aesthetics of the legs. I plan to remix the model, to make it more RC friendly, and also more flexibility when it comes to robotics (to use Arduino and Raspberry pi).
Now the question is what should the middle part look like ? I have two ideas:
- A central turret that rotated, a bit like the guardians of Zelda BotW.
- A dragon head + tail. Maybe the robot could grab things with its mouth, that would be cool.
If you have some idea what you would want to see, write it in the comments :)
EDIT: Click on the picture to see it move :D
Poll ended with one vote for each.... I guess I will have to do both ! I will print a coin to decide which one I do first ^^
Great model! Really smart way to move. I hope you will the contest. (edited)
@jakub_11_ thank you 😊
This is a project and a way to overcome obstacles!
It works! Printed easy and clean, no post-processing necessary. The hard part is setting up a surface with the right amount of friction at the right angle to get it to do the walk-y thing.

Vielen Dank
Looking awesome! This thing should definitely win the contest.
@Pluukkanen_1016857 Thank you very much for the nice comment :)
I don't think I will win, as flash contests winners are usually the most popular ones. Nonetheless, this model had a good run despite being a bit niche, so it is ok :)
Thanks dude, this really helps me when walking with crutches
@Peepeepoopoo_716547 I didn't expect this model to be big enough for crutches. I am so pleased to know it was helpful in that case too 😊
Some makes are too cool not to share. Like this TRex skull printed with Spectrum indigo Wizard PLA.

I swear we don't bite :)
Thanks, this will help a lot.
Do you like gears ? Do you like plants ? Then maybe you will like my latest model: a gear themed plant pot, printed in vase mode. Add some steampunk vibes to your room by downloading the model here : https://www.printables.com/model/878040-gears-plant-pot-vase-mode
It just occurred to me that we do not notifications when someone that we follow posts a new model....
Anyhow I released this model of a weather vane a few days ago. Let me know if you like it :)

Support broke on a 18 hour print.... So I added tape to support the support, and now I have floating support ^_^
Lol
Hi,
I tried to print the project but the dragon.stl file is incorrect and it cannot be printed. The size is 402KB and even transformed into .gcode it cannot be printed. Can you correct the file? Thanks.
@Agostino_577916 which slicer are you using? What error do you get ? It worked with prusaslicer 2.7 at the very least.
@PlantagoLabs I use Cura and I converted the stl file to gcode but it takes zero time and on the Sidewinder Artillery it doesn't start working
Very close to the dragon on the Wales flag.
@Cam1_901728 Ah coincidence. I searched an image on the internet for "medieval dragon" and that the best design I found. I redraw it all in Inkscape to get an svg, adapting parts such as the hand.
Or maybe it isn't a coincidence that Wales has one of the best looking dragon. 🤔
@PlantagoLabs I agree it's one of the best. I live in Wales and the Welsh love to show off their dragon. I would make one if I had a big enough garden.
I saw no prusa blog post about this so: The winners of the XRP challenge contest have been announced ! Yours truly had two models in play, and somehow got two rewards?!?

Go have a look, there are a lot of great robot models to see 😀
