Thanks for sharing this model. I only used the inside outline but had to enlarge it a bit until it fit.

I like this idea, I might try out. I have three scoped rifles that are occuping way too much space in my gun safe, but two of these are chambered in .223 and .22 LR... so first question would be, do you believe 4mm carbon fiber rods would be sturdy enough to keep them standing without breaking under the rifle + scope weight... and second question, would you update the design to include a 4mm pass through hole please?

@TexasJack Assuming you're in the US, Aloft Hobbies has good pricing and they ship faster than Aliexpress. They happen to be out of the cheap 4mm rod though.

I also recommend printing just one to start. The part clearance is extremely close, on purpose. You may need to slightly adjust the part, or drill out the hole area. This is to guarantee alignment and tight fit for good glue bonding. (edited)

@Ossum hey, sorry to have keep you waiting... I was busy designing a new project (might be of your interest, check it out). Unfortunately I am in EU and here gun nuts stuff like this is not that popular, I have to wait for Ali to deliver, hope they come soon and I'll let you know

After some troubles with my printing machine and a lot of support from Ossum I was able to finish this project. Overall the idea is brilliant. To give you some numbers, 30% of my gunsafe slots are for scoped rifles. Unfortunately these scoped rifles stockpiled one against the other occupied up to 60% of the whole gunsafe volume. After printing, you can expect to get back your 30% of free space. Now, the only complaint, reason why I don't give full 5/5 stars is... a bit of unstability. Again, the overall concept is bulletproof... most of the weight is on the rifle's stocks, some other weight might even be on the scope's elevation turrets eventually resting against the back wall, so there is just very minor tension left on the magnetic rod, still I tried shaking the gunsafe like in the event of an earthquake and even with some rubber layer helping the magnets with friction to prevent lateral slid... well, there was some drag. So, it shouldn't happen, but just to be safer in the event of disasters, you might want some other heavy guns resting right next to the scoped rifles, so they might be helping to block the eventually falling rifles in case of failure. Even so, I am afraid they still could end up being damaged... so my advice is to give this print a try just when your gunsafe is more full than empty, otherwise just stick to stockpiling the scoped rifles against a corner or one of the walls.

Yeah this holds a really small piece of paper.

@Cauces That's mostly what it was meant for--some sort of reference card, cheat sheet, or key shortcut list.
