A like the design of this however thinking instead of the arm being pushed down to break the filament. Possibly could use a small linear actuator that could be triggered when filament changes.
Thank you for your feedback and for adjusting the design! The gear cover was originally intended as a first multicolor print, but I also created a version without the logo. Unfortunately I forgot to upload it, thank you for pointing that out.

@Nick1 That was part of it. I'll edit my original comment - I didn't mean to make it seem like the print failed, I was trying to max out my printer. It actually started to fail on flow first, and about the same time one corner started lifting. The print did exactly what I needed it to.
