This turned out great! I followed the directions to resize it for my bounty and it fits very well.
I wanted the shade to cover the backside as well. I took the "bounty full with back" and cut it in half in my slicer. Then I cut the connector piece from "Bounty Half B.stl" and attached it to one of the halves.
thanks for uploading, the caveman TV is just ridiculous priced I did have a question why when I imported it into tinkercad it has these strange gouges ?
@camshaft_2594536 Yep tinkercad does this. i have alot of trouble importing stuff into there. it always ruins the "polygons" or whatever they are called. i know it is not really a solution, but either try to use another CAD program or maybe one of those online .STL mesh fixing thing.
@camshaft_2594536 wait a sec ill put my tinkerCAD page to public so you can get it from there without having the importing nightmare. https://www.tinkercad.com/things/gog5eld2DNW-catman-tv-v3 search for "catman TV v3" if the link doesnt work. edit: sorry i didnt think of doing this before (edited)
@Tornad_2339095 i used PLA for this. i know it isnt the best, but i dry it after each use. also its only in contact for 30sec or something.
if you want a trick. i used a scanner to take a picture of the mouthpiece and then took the image and converted it to an stl online. i used the rought shape to make my own 3D modeling. i wish you great sucess!
@Miaoucat was pretty sure, I have posted a reply. Well Thank you a lot for info and for the trick. Mostly I wanted to know, if I need flexible filament to make a seal. Am really happy, that it just needs PLA
Printed in Esun white PLA. I have the older version of the lifestraw so I am not sure if the mouth piece is the same. I was able use a Dynaline R0-5 oring to form a tight seal. It screwed onto the bottle perfectly. Thanks for the design.
@Miaoucat I didn't even realize there was a difference when I first printed it. On the older versions it seems like the mouth piece is a little smaller and flatter on the bottom. Realistically I just keep one in my hunting pack just in case. Hopefully I will never need it.
