So we love coffee in our house, really love coffee, and anyone who knows anything about coffee would agree that freshly ground beans beats instant any old day. So we bought some beans locally, and a coffee grinder from amazon. When our Amazon order arrived we excitedly opened up our package to reveal the all important grinder within, but to our despair there was a crack in the lid. In all honesty the crack wasn't serious as it is on the inner boss. The crack did make coffee cleanup from the lid difficult and annoying. In the sellers defense they did reimburse us in full so shout out to them!
to make a long story short 3D printing to the rescue!!
This was a bit if a challenge to design due to it being an "internal" geometry with an internal draft as well as the the 2 circles being eccentric, but after a few iterations, thank G-D, all came out great!

Great idea with magnets, I was thinking to make box with springs but this looks simpler and more compact.
How smooth is movement on these rods?

@Mike_585010 Quiet smooth. I made the holes on the shuttle oversized as it is only used to guide the shuttle and I didn't want to introduce any extra resistance or binding.
