I cannot thank you enough for this. Despite having a ton of tools, this screw driver has been my go-to for many home projects. My dog chewed up the cap so out of curiosity I checked for print files online.
Disclaimer, I downloaded your version 3 on Thangs, so I suggest uploading that file on here too.
@feynmaan_1766674 I completely forgot to update it here. I will say my newest iteration has lasted since I designed it. Seems to have the right amount of angles to get caught less. I’ll see about updating it here when I get a chance.
New Atari Joystick keychain, coming soon. Debating whether people may just want one without the inlay for the keychain if they just wanted it as a prop.
My first design attempt in Moi3D, used their new beta V5, new fillet engine is nice and grouping helps keep things organized.
Thanks friend, you saved me a trip to the hardware store!
I scaled it a bit taller because my door isn't perfectly straight and I'm too lazy to fix that part. Might be a temporary fix for me, but works like a charm for now. :)
very good model! using a 12cm radial blower (loud but powerful!) on top of the Tesla P40 instead of making it longer is the best choice for a desktop mod. at least my fan only has 2 cables for 12V power, no speed measurement. you could try to implement some PID with a microcontroller (e.g. Pi Pico) based on some temperature reading, but I decided to simply let it run full speed, taking 12V/1A from the PSU using a Molex Port.
if you want to run a Tesla GPU in a desktop, enable "above 4G decoding" a.k.a. "resizable BAR" (base address register) in your BIOS/UEFI first. First board I tried didn't work, second did.
@LaserBorg_463818 Glad it worked for you, this went through a lot of prototypes. Hard to believe it’s one of my first real model designs from scratch. I tried to be a perfectionist with how it all came together. I lucked out having a board that had that setting in the BIOS.
First real major 3D Modeling project from scratch (mostly been modifying things in Fusion 360 from other models). Playing with machine learning lately, got a used Tesla M40 (has no cooling since designed for rack servers). I got a huge blower (recommended from another adapter for the card). I made this adapter since I have a very small case that is not tall, so the usual adapters that do a 90 degree angle doesn't fit. I already have it in a functional state, though minor issues still working on. Still iterating (this is probably the 10th or more), once I get it to a better state, will release the STL files. Used Alibre Atom3D, never heard of it before this weekend, aside from a slightly outdated look (though its improving and looks like they are working on it since it just got vector icons and a dark mode). I find I am pretty productive in it aside from dealing with a few quirks, not bad for almost two days of modeling/printing.
Fantastic model! Works perfectly with California Filament cardboard spools. I just had to press the inside edges down by sliding a spatula around the edge, it wasn't difficult at all.
Printed a few for my buddy and wife, came out really nice.Printed standing up, sunk into the bed a bit to get the base flat. Eryone Bronze Silk PLA and Hatchbox Gold ABS.
@psyctto_822343 That's awesome, I'm assuming you used the new organic supports or tree supports for the arms? Until that came out, it was a harder one to get right.
@Kritoke yeah, supports were a nightmare back in the day… I despised anything with them 🙂 I use the tree hybrid option in Bambu Slicer most of the time, it seems to add more branches and the contact point is much nicer, while being easy to remove. Thank again for the model! Well done on the scan, it looks great.
For those who love my cat food can towers, working on an improved version to address the side strength.
