Hey everyone!

And there you have it! The Saturn V multicolor is now available for members of my club!

If you have any questions or problems, feel free to ask!

@jamesdterry_4401305 I didn't think of that, I'll redo a profile to separate the pieces and only need a maximum of 4 colors at the same time

I just realized I didn't mention it, but the profile was done with an H2C; I'll see about doing a generic 3MF as well.

Wow, that's great - thanks! I'm going to start printing it today :-)

That's it, the Vulcan is finally finished (at last...) I had trouble with the logo around the booster. All that's left to do is make it printable and it's off for testing :D

@Da_Rius The answer may sound silly, but I knew how to do it, but I couldn't get it to work, until I realized that I had to enlarge the logo, and miraculously, it worked 😁

What was challenging about it, and how did you eventually solve it?

Hi everyone,

a while ago I created a Google form on another platform and got some interesting responses.

I got lots of responses to the last question, so I thought it would be interesting to do the same on Printable.

If you have a few minutes to fill out this short form :)
Thanks a lot :D

Just filled it out. I don't have multicolor but I would be interested in more multicolor profiles so that I can print them in large single parts and paint them myself

Hey guys,
Quick question: which image do you like best, which one attracts you more? Black background or blue background?

In both images, the settings and colors are not optimized; the question is more about the overall impression than the quality of each photo.

The next rocket is coming soon :D

definitely blue. black just looks like the rocket was cropped out of a photo!

Hi everyone, with the latest update of printables they added the articles.

I don't know if I'm going to use it, maybe to make some small tutorials on how the different assembly or printing principles work for the models, what do you think?

I noticed that with the arrival of articles we add an automatic summary in the descriptions of the models, currently the summaries mean nothing in my different descriptions,I will update this in the next few days.

By the way, quick question, what did you want to see in the description of a model?

@MikolasZuza Oh yes, articles on the manufacturing process can be nice.

I would totally read an article about the assembly or printing principles of your space models. Or even an article documenting the process of getting the model to a released state, if you do any test prints, the fails and the lessons learned from them, and so on. :)

Hello everyone

Here's my new model, the Starship V2!
Available as a preview for members of my club.
Just in time for the next launch :)

You'll see, with this model I'm introducing a new graphic direction, let me know if you like it :)

At the same time, my Ariane 6 model is free for everyone! Thanks to everyone who buy or subscribe to this model!

Happy printing!

@MakerM_2791857 Thanks for your message, I based it on the first starship V2 SN33

Normally yes it is with the correct ratio but it is done by taking measurements on photos so there may be a shift

The lines of the nose cone are the weld marks between the sheets, I represent them in extrusion to have a similar rendering.

The tile patches that are on the nose cone are more of a test than a real thing.

Hello everyone

Sorry for the inactivity these last months, thank you for your support despite I publish no content.

I have just published for the club members my new model, the Ariane 6 with all its declinations.

https://www.printables.com/model/1067442-ariane-6

I'm also making the Titanc 3C model available to everyone, thanks to club members for downloading it!

I don't know if you have heard of Galactic Energy but their Pallas-1 rocket is pretty cool. https://galactic-energy.cn/index.php/En/List/cid/15 Maybe you could do that one in the future. Doesn't look to complicated. Only too complicated for me to ever create it lol

Hello everyone !

Sorry for the inconvenience but once again I come to you because I have a question.

I sometimes receive messages asking me for details on the model configuration choices, I tell myself that there must be a lot of people in this situation.

I'm always looking to improve so I'll try to change this

Here are some suggestions for change :

@DavidMoore_288717
Thank you for your message

Okay I'll take that into account to put the words in full (for the titan model I added explanations on the presentation page I think it can help too)

I don't think I'll add the date on the names because I find them long enough already.

I can't really make subfolders, but maybe making several folders for the same block is possible.

I think the solution of adding "KIT-x or Vx" for the configuration/variant files would be a good idea to refer to the list of choices.

In general your file naming convention is better than most.
You use folders to add information and the filenames themselves are consistent.

Where you use individual letters, rather than the full word, I'd suggest using the full word would be clearer e.g. l and r (left and right).

Lowercase "l" is notoriously ambiguous and, while it is usually unique in your context I feel seeing the whole words would make recognition faster and easier.

You could possibly add an extra level of depth to your folders too if the individual file names get too long.

Personally I don't mind a good clear and long filename.

Lastly, I always use a date and version at the end of my filenames. I come from the era where programs crashed a lot and it was easier to not know which file was which if you weren't be careful and diligent yourself e.g. "This is a left part filename 240724 AA.docx".

This overcomes the problem of operating systems changing file date stamps as they get used, touched, modified, copied etc.

I hope that makes sense and helps.

David

When you assemble one of my models, How do the junction parts fit into their locations?

when i printed the space shuttle, the orange rings at the bottom of the SRBs were to thick, so i decreased the z axis a little bit

I usually fix it with a file. But only the junction blocks. Never problems with the rest of the parts
