looking forward to it
What are the rest of the print settings that you are running? First time it failed with about two hours left with the print falling over after coming loose from the bed (60 C temp) 2nd attempt I flipped fingers down and it failed early mid fingers with the nozzle getting stuck in the print, but caught it early enough it didnt blob the nozzle.
Another great model to display and/or to use as an educational aid.
Printed my make on the Prusa XL with Prusament PLA Vanilla White, some left-over Fillamentum PLA Extrafill Natural for supports and Fiberlogy Fiberflex 40D Red for the flexible joints. I didn't use a purge-tower. The organic supports make a nice display stand.
Thanks for sharing your great models!
please make a model of the whole shoulder with flexible joints. your models are AWESOME for XL!
Thanks for the model. Great way to stop the display sticking out so far off the front.
Wonderful model that is easy to print. I am still working on the flexible forearm. Would be great if there is a way to connect the two models together.
Took 23 hours 14 min. Used rectangular grid supports from the build plate only. Cleaned off pretty easily.
@zelequhen_1709288 Looks good in this possition.
Printed in Prusament rPLA.
Not the best photo, but model looks great in person!
Took about 8h45min with the Mk4 and input shaping with a 0.4mm nozzle. (edited)
Great little print! Now I can poke people without risking my own fingers. Printed On my MK3S+ with the MMU2S.
@KirkMakesThing_87740 Try the whole hand ... Im wondering how it will looks like on MK3S+ with the MMU2S.
Awesome model, but are you able to do one of the lumbar spine? Would be really good for patient education when people have lower back pain!
@urbanvanilla Yeah , I will do it. The whole spine.
It was a whim to teach, but I knew from the beginning that it still wouldn't compensate me, because of the amount of material I was going to waste. It has been, by far, the piece that has generated the most waste, brutal, but that's what cravings are like and it's already done here.
I kept the two colors, for the theme of showing the intervertebral discs, but I didn't have any flexible material and used white and red PLA.
I was hoping I could have some mobility in the final piece, but no, the result is a solid piece of PLA. A shame. That's what happens for not having a Prusa XL.
Still, I liked the challenge of printing it. I wouldn't repeat it or do it in just one color, but it depends on each person.
I need to make a base and it will be ready.
Thanks for the design!! (edited)
@Deadius Although it is rigid, it still looks good. Thank you.
@KarelPenicka Looks great. I have put it in a display case only for exhibition, so mobility does not detract from its merit. Thank you very much again for the design. He looks very cool.
Printed well, I only have two toolheads but another material for lower support might've made it even better!
Great model! I printed it on my Prusa XL with Prusament PLA Galaxy Black and a 95A TPU. Unfortunately, my first attempt with the Filamentum Flexfill TPU 92A didn't work out for me and I still have some fine tuning to do.
@Nessie Good job. But you must use white filament :-D. Black bones ? :-D
Upper arm, soon !!
